FAQ

Steam Masters The perfect choice for your next Home or Commercial Cleaning

Frequently Asked Questions

Q Do You Move Furniture When Cleaning Carpets?

No. Steam Masters does not move furniture when cleaning carpets. To help protect your furniture, belongings, and our company from accidental damage, we ask that any furniture you would like cleaned underneath be moved prior to our arrival.

If furniture is not moved, we will carefully clean around it and get as close as reasonably possible.

If you choose to move furniture before your appointment, we recommend leaving it off the freshly cleaned carpet until the carpet is completely dry. This helps prevent furniture stains, rust marks, or other damage caused by placing certain furniture items on damp carpet.

Tip: Before we arrive, simply move the items you want moved out of the cleaning area, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Q Do You Guarantee That Spots and Stains Will Not Return?

Unfortunately, no carpet cleaning company can guarantee that every spot or stain will be permanently removed or that it will never return. Some substances can permanently discolor or damage carpet fibers, while certain spots may reappear after cleaning due to residue or staining that has penetrated deeper into the carpet or backing.

Whenever possible, we will identify problem areas before cleaning and explain what results you can reasonably expect.

At Steam Masters Carpet & Tile Cleaning, we use professional spotting products and techniques and will do everything reasonably possible to remove or improve stains. However, permanent discoloration or damage to the carpet fibers cannot always be corrected through cleaning alone.

Our goal is simple: provide the best possible results while always being upfront and honest about what can—and cannot—be removed.

Q What Type of Equipment Do You Use to Clean Tile & Grout?

We use a professional high-pressure rotary tile & grout cleaning system connected directly to our commercial truck-mounted cleaning equipment. The rotary cleaning tool uses high-pressure, heated water to flush away dirt, grease, cleaning residue, and years of embedded soil while simultaneously extracting the dirty water from your floors.

Before extraction, we apply professional-grade tile & grout cleaning solutions selected for the type and condition of your flooring. This helps break down stubborn buildup and deeply embedded soil that ordinary mopping and household cleaning products simply can’t reach.

The combination of professional cleaning chemistry, agitation when needed, high-pressure hot water, and powerful truck-mounted extraction allows us to achieve outstanding results—even on heavily soiled tile and grout.

We don’t just clean the surface—we work to restore your tile and grout to the best condition cleaning can reasonably achieve.

And I’m confident enough in our process to say:

If your grout can be restored through professional cleaning, Steam Masters will get it as clean as possible.

Q Why should I get my tile & grout cleaned?

A Dirty grout becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and germs.  Accumulated dirt, debris, and moisture in dirty grout can weaken the structure of surrounding tiles. Over time, this can lead to loose, cracked, or displaced tiles, posing safety hazards and costly repairs.  Having your grout professionally cleaned helps extend the longevity of your tile & grout, prevents mold and mildew growth, promotes a healthier environment, preserves the value of your investment, eliminates allergens, and helps remove bad odors from your home.

Q What Is Your 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?

At Steam Masters Carpet & Tile Cleaning, we stand behind the quality of our work. If you’re not satisfied with an area we’ve cleaned, simply contact us and give us the opportunity to make it right.

We will return to inspect the area and, when appropriate, re-clean the area at no additional charge.

Our guarantee applies to the quality of our workmanship and cleaning process. It does not guarantee the removal of permanent stains, discoloration, damage, wear, or conditions that cannot be corrected through professional cleaning.

Our goal is simple: We want you to be completely satisfied with the service and results you receive from Steam Masters.

Q How Long Will It Take for My Tile & Grout to Dry?

Your tile will typically dry very quickly after cleaning, since our truck-mounted extraction system removes most of the water during the cleaning process. Grout lines may take a little longer to dry because grout can absorb some moisture.

To speed up drying, we use high-speed air movers throughout the home as we work. We also recommend keeping your air conditioning running and, when available, allowing us to use ceiling fans to improve airflow.

In most cases, the tile surface will be dry or nearly dry before we leave, while the grout lines may continue to lighten as they fully dry.

Q What method do you use to clean carpets?

A Hot water extraction is the method most used to clean carpets.  This is commonly referred to as ‘steam cleaning” and NO we do not clean with just steam.  The reason it is called steam cleaning is because the water is so hot (typically over 200 degrees) that the water coming out of the jets produces steam.   Hot water extraction is the ONLY approved method by the carpet & rug institute because it delivers the absolute best deep clean possible.   Our other method of cleaning is a process called carpet encapsulation cleaning or sometimes commonly referred to as DRY cleaning.

Q Do I Need to Vacuum Before You Arrive?

Yes. We ask that you lightly vacuum your carpets before our arrival, especially in areas with visible loose debris, pet hair, or excessive surface soil.

Vacuuming beforehand removes loose dry soil and allows us to focus our time and equipment on the deep cleaning process, helping us provide the best possible results while keeping our pricing fair and affordable.

There’s no need to do anything extensive—a good, thorough pass with your regular vacuum is all we ask.

Q Do You Move Furniture for Tile & Grout Cleaning?

Yes, within reason. Before we arrive, we ask that you remove as many small and loose items from the floor as possible. When practical, we also recommend moving bar stools, dining chairs, and other easily movable furniture to the garage, lanai, or another area that isn’t being cleaned.

We can move certain lightweight furniture during the cleaning process when necessary. However, we do not move heavy, oversized, fragile, or high-value items such as entertainment centers, china cabinets, large beds, appliances, or similar furnishings.

Keep in mind that moving furniture adds time to the job and may affect the price. Some customers prefer to have us clean around larger furniture, while others choose to clear as much of the floor as possible for maximum cleaning coverage.

For the best results and most accurate pricing, we recommend clearing as much of the tile floor as reasonably possible before we arrive.

Steam Masters is ALL you need to get a CLEAN home or office.
